MAYA RICOTE: Ay Am! (WIP)

Sat 21st Feb
A square, poster-like image with a vivid, icy-blue textured background, resembling frozen patterns or brushed paint. The design is bold, theatrical, and deliberately artificial, like a pop-art collage flyer. Dominating the right half of the image is a woman posed dramatically in profile. She faces left, but turns her head toward the viewer, making direct eye contact. She has long, dark brown hair flowing down her back, pale skin, and pronounced makeup: dark eyebrows, heavy eyeliner, and bright red lipstick. Her expression is confident and slightly exaggerated, as if performing or holding a pose on stage. She wears a tight, long-sleeved, ankle-length red dress that clings closely to her body, paired with red stockings and glossy red high-heeled shoes. Her posture is intentionally stylized and theatrical: she bends forward slightly at the waist, knees bent, hands resting on her thighs, emphasizing a curvy silhouette that are 4 balloons. The pose feels playful, camp, and self-aware rather than naturalistic. Scattered around her are surreal collage elements. In the upper left corner float disembodied eyes and eyebrows, cut out like magazine clippings, hovering against the blue background. On the upper right floats a pair of glossy red lips, also isolated and stylized. In the bottom left corner, a separate pair of legs in red stockings and red heels appears upside down, cropped at the thighs, as if someone is kicking their legs into the frame from below. Text is arranged in multiple styles and colors. Near the top left, the name “Maya Ricote” appears in a decorative, cursive script. Large block letters spelling “Ay am” are scattered across the left-center area, each letter in a different bright color—yellow, red, and blue—evoking ransom-note or pop-art typography. In the top right corner, smaller script text reads “Music & Direction Dan Lees.”
